Preparation of Low-Sulfur Expansible graphite
Abstract:
The low sulfur expansible graphite has been prepared using hydrogen peroxide as oxidant and a mixture of oxalic acid and nitric acid as exchnger,The optimum conditions for preparation were:H2O2(30%):graphite=1:10(by weight),25℃, 60min,H2SO4(98%).The expansible graphite with expanding volume of 200mL/g contains only 0.39% sulfur.
