A SNIFTIRS STUDY OF THE BENZOQUINONE-BENZOHYDROQUINONE REDOX SYSTEM IN AQUEOUS SOLUTION

摘要: The in-situ FTIR spectroscopic results show that a hemi-ketal intermediate may be produced in the electroreduction of benzoquinone or electro-oxidation of benzohydroquinone, which provides a valuable insight into the mechanism of the redox process.
