Reduction of Oxygen Bound with Hemoglobin by Electrolytic Method Using Hydrogen Gas in Phosphate-buff ered Solution

摘要: Hemoglobin(Hb) is important as an oxygen carrier. The trace amount of oxygen in Hb was reduced by an electrolytic method using hydrogen as an electron donor. The deoxygenated Hb(deoxyHb) was stable against heat treatment at 60℃ with little precipitant. This method is safe, fast, and would be of potential use for large scale purification of Hb.
