Synthesis and Characterization of Polyamide Gd(Ⅲ) Complexes Containing L-Lysine Alkyl Esters in the Main Chain

Macromolecular ligands were prepared by the condensation polymerization of diethylenetriaminepentaacetic dianhydride with long chain L-lysine alkyl esters. The corresponding paramagnetic metal complexes were also prepared by the reaction of these ligands with GdCl₃. The relaxivities of these metal complexes are higher than that of Gd(DTPA).
