Reactivation of Waste Ni/Al₂O₃ Catalyst

The reactivation of the waste commercial Ni/Al₂O₃ catalyst used in reforming of methane or natural gas by carbon dioxide has been studied on a fixed-bed flow apparatus by using XRD and TPR techniques. It is found that if the waste catalyst is first reduced at 1193K,then treated with 20% aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution(disperser),the activity could be renewed to that of the fresh one.
