A practical method for preparation of triammonium tetrahydrogen molybdophos-phate (AHMP) is proposed by reacting Na₃P(S)O₃ with ammonium molybdate. The ex-change capacity of AHMP for Li⁺, Na⁺,K⁺, Rb⁺, Cs⁺, and Ag⁺ has been evaluated.
