Synthesis and Herbicidal Activity of 4-Aryloxy-4-Oxo-1, 3, 4-Diazaphospholidin-2-Thione

Phenylthiourea was reacted with trichlorophosphine and aldehydes(ketones) to produce 3-phenyl-4-chloro-4-oxo-1,3,4-diazaphospholidin-2-thione(Ⅰ). The compounds Ⅰ were then reacted with phenols to produce the titled compounds Ⅲ. The structures of compounds Ⅲ were comfirmed by ¹H NMR,³¹P NMR and elemental analysis. The biological tests found that compounds Ⅲ have good selective herbicidal activities.
