Surface Modification of Poly[1-(trimethylsilyl)-propyne]Membrane by CCl₄ Plasma

PTMSP membrane was modified by CCl₄ plasma, and the surface of modified membranes was studied by XPS and water contact angle measurements. The experimental results show that the CCl₄ plasma modified membranes exhibit a significant increase in gas selectivity over the unmodified PTMSP.The oxygen-nitrogen separation factors α_O₂/N₂ increased from 1.50 to 7.89 and the oxygen permeation coefficient P_O₂ decreased from 9×10⁵ Barrer to 9×10₂ Barrer.
