Surface Modification and Surface Structure of Pt/CdS Photocatalyst

Pt/CdS catalysts were treated at high temperature in nitrogen gas containing 1.30 g/m³O₂. The surface composition and structure of catalysts were studied by XPS, XRD and TEM. Results show that a regular change in the Pt valence and CdS surface composition takes place with treating time. It is verified that low concentration oxygen has an action of modifying Pt/CdS surface.
