Synthesis and Tests of Tea Polyphenol Germanium Complexes

The tea polyphenol(TP) germanium has been synthesized by reacting Ge⁴⁺ with TP, which is extracted from green tea. Reaction conditions and characterizations were studied by UV and IR spectroscopy. The toxicity tests show that the median lethal dose is 2343±297 mg/kgBW.
