Fluorescent Films of Regenerated Cellulose

Four kinds of fluorescent films of regenerated cellulose were prepared by mixing cellulose cuoxam solution and fluorescent powders including Y(PV)O₄: Eu, BaMg₂Al₁₆O₂₇:Eu,(Zn,Cd)S: Cu and Zn₂SiO₄:Mn,respectively.The fluorescence spectra, fluores-cence intensity,degree of crystallinity and mechanical property of these films have been stud-ied.The resuIts showed that the peak of crystallinity of fluorescent powder remained un-changed when the film had 5wt%of fluorescent powder of Y(PV)O₄: Eu,BaMg₂Al₁₆O₂₇:Eu and(Cd,Zn)S:Cu under inradiation of ultraviolet light these films emitted strong red,blue,and yellow light with the fluorescence intensities being 81%,79% and 74%,respec-tively.However, film containing 5%Zn₂SiO₄: Mn only emitted slightly green light and the structure of crystal of the fluorescent powder in the film was brocken and the degree of crys-tallinity and mechanical preperty of this film increased significantly.
