Synthesis of Bis-thiazolidinone Derivatives by 1,3-Dipolar Cycloaddition

Condensation of diamine with quinoxaline-2-carboxaldehyde or 2-phenyl-1,2,3-triazole-4-carboxa-ldehyde gave a series of new bis-Schiff bases,which then were reacted with mercaptoacetic acid to afford bis-thiazolidinone derivatives by 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition.The compositions and structures of the new compounds were confirmed by elemental analysis,IR,¹H NMR and MS.
