A modified method for Nd(O-i-C₃H₇)₂Cl synthesis directly from NdCl₃·3HO-i-C₃H₇ and NaO-i-C₃H₇ is presented. The advantage of the method lies in the making use of halogen from NdCl₃ instead of [that] from CH₃COCl as in the conventional method.
