Effects of Co(OH)₂ and Ni Powder on the Performance of Ni(OH)₂ Electrode

The effects of Co(OH)₂ and Ni powder added into nickel hydroxide electrode on its performance were studied by triangle wave potential sweeping, XRD and constant-current charging-discharging techniques. The results indicated that nickel hydroxide electrode containing 8%Co(OH)₂ and 13% Ni powder showed the highest discharge capacity and the lowest expansion at charging-discharging runs.
