Synthesis of 3-N-Acetyl-2-substituted phenyl-5-[5'-Methyl-Isoxazole-3'-yl]-Δ₃-1,3,4-Oxadiazoline

5-Methyl-isoxazole-3-formylhydrazine 2 was prepared by hydrazinolysis of the corresponding ester 1. Condensation of 2 with appropriate aldehydes produced corresponding hydrazones(3a~3h). Cyclization of (3a~3h) with acetic anhydride gave the title compounds in good yields. Structures of the intermediates and products were confirmed by means of ¹H NMR, MS and elemental analyses.
