Mercury(Ⅱ) complex with tris [(p-hydroxybenzaldehyde)ethyl]amine has been synthesized and characterized. The crystal and molecular structures of the complex was determined by singlecrystal X-ray diffraction. The interaction of complex with calf thymus DNA was investigated by UV-Vis、fluorescence spectrum and viscosity measurements. Results suggest that complex can bind to DNA via intercalation mode.
