Two complexes of[M(2,2'-bpy)₂]₂SiW₁₂O₄₀ (M=Mn(1) and M=Co(2)) have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and their structures were determined by using elemental analyses,IR,TG and single-crystal X-ray diffraction methods.The results showed that complexes 1 and 2 were isomorphic.The electrocatalytic activities of the two complexes toward the oxidation of H₂O to O₂ were preliminary evaluated.The result showed that only complex 1 has such electrocatalytic activity.
