Under the protection of pure N₂,La-doped Bi₂Te₃ and Bi_0.5Sb_1.5Te₃ were prepared by the method of electromagnetic induction.The structures and morphologies of the samples were characterized using X-ray diffraction,inductively coupled plasma and scanning electron microscopy.The electricity conductivity(σ),Seebeck coefficient(S) and thermal conductivity(κ) were studied.The results showed that La-doped samples have lower thermal conductivity and enhanced figure of merit(ZT).The thermoelectric figure of merit of La-doped Bi_0.5Sb_1.5Te₃ were improved up to 1 at room temperature.
