  • Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), with their unique advantages of high specific surface area, tunable active sites, and structural diversity, exhibit significant application potential in the electrocatalytic urea oxidation reaction (UOR). This article systematically reviews the research progress of MOF-based electrocatalysts for UOR from four dimensions, namely design strategies, synthesis methods, performance evaluation approaches, and reaction mechanism types, aiming to reveal the intrinsic structure-activity relationship between MOF-based catalyst structures and UOR performance, summarize the key challenges currently faced in this field, and provide a comprehensive reference for the precise design and development of high-performance MOF-based UOR electrocatalysts.
