The Fe₃O₄@C/rGO composite was synthesized using graphene oxide (GO) as the substrate, Fe(NO₃)₃·9H₂O, isopropanol and glycerol as the raw materials by solvothermal method and subsequent heat treatment process, and it succeeded in realizing the in-situ growth of carbon-coated hierarchical Fe₃O₄ hollow spheres on graphene oxide sheets. The physicochemical properties and lithium storage properties of Fe₃O₄@C/rGO materials were analyzed by X-ray diffractometer (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), galvanostatic discharge-charge, etc. The results showed that the composite still has the reversible capacity of 437.7 mAh·g^-1 under the current density of 5.0 A·g^-1, and the discharge specific capacity of 587.3 mAh·g^-1 after 200 cycles at 1.0 A·g^-1. This is mainly attributed to the introduction of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) which improves the overall structural stability and electrical conductivity of carbon-coated Fe₃O₄ hierarchical hollow spheres.
