FACILE SYNTHESIS OF 4-AMINO-4-DEOXY-4'-DEMETHYLEPIPODOPHYLLOTOXIN

4-Amino-4-deoxy-4'-demethylepipodophyllotoxin has been directly synthesized from 4'-demethylepipodophyllotoxin and HN₃ in the presence of BF3·Et₂O,followed by hydrogenation with palladium on charcoal as catalyst.
