The alkenc cpoxidation by iodosylbenzene can be catalyzed by transition metal substituted polyoxomctalates.Among the polyoxometalates examined β-SiW₉M₃,and ZnW₁₁Ti was found to be the most efficient catalyst.The oxidations with sodium periodatc are very selective to alkenc cleavage
