A trisubstituted Dawson anion with tetravalent heteroelement titanium has been synthesized from the lacunary precursor Na₁₂[α-P₂W₁₅O₅₆].24H₂O and characterized by IR.UV.and ¹⁸³W NMR spectnm.¹⁸³W NMR of the title anion consists of three lines (intensity ratio 1:2:2) as expected for the trisubstituted α-Dawson anion.
