A NEW DITERPENOID FROM COLEUS SCUTELLARIOIDES

From the herbs of Coleus scutellarioides,a new diterpenoid was isolated and identified as 2-(2'ξ-methoxypropyl)-3-hydroxy-5,7,8-trimethylphenanthrene-1,4-dione,named as scutequinone (1).
