Mn (OAc)₃-mediated reaction of dialkyl phosphites with α, β-unsaturated sulfones to form α, β-unsaturated phosphonates is described.This reaction proceeded in acetic acid at 80℃ for 2 h to afford selective (E)-2-alkenyl phosphonates in 40%~72% yields.
