Abstract:
Compared with three-dimensional zeolites, two-dimensional zeolites possess the more open skeleton structure, larger specific surface area and more exposed acid sites, resulting in special advantages in bulky molecule catalysis or diffusion-limited catalysis. Through diverse direct synthesis methods or postprocessing methods, pore species, pore size and pore distribution of two-dimensional zeolites and derived materials can be adjusted to be suited for various catalysis processes. Here, we summarize the recent progress of two-dimensional zeolites including syntheses and applications.

2017, 32(2): 42-46  doi: 10.3866/PKU.DXHX201604021
[Abstract](580) [FullText HTML] [PDF 550KB](1)
Abstract:
Bilingual teaching for graduate students is the basic requirement for the internationlization process of graduate education. Aimed at current problems in bilingual teaching, we proposed a new model for bilingual teaching of graduate students, i.e. a bilingual teaching model between platform and bench. Using the course of bioinorganic chemistry as an example, we explored the methods for applying the new model between platform and bench. The practice showed that the bilingual teaching model between platform and bench solved the gap problem between theory and practice in graduate education, which can not only improve the quality of scientific research for graduate students, but also enhance the research level for the teachers.

The use of solar energy through titanium dioxide, one of the most promising semiconductor photocatalyst, is a possible solution to energy shortage and environmental pollution. In this paper, anatase carbon- incorporated TiO2 microspheres are prepared by a facile flame thermal approach, which is annealing-free and almost no waste and simple. The photocatalytic hydrogen yield of the as-prepared TiO2 sample is tested by gas chromatograph under Xe lamp irradiation. Through this experiment, students can learn photocatalytic mechanism, the synthesis and characterization of semiconductor photocatalyst as well as know a little about solar energy, hydrogen energy and environmental awareness.
