Synthesis and Crystal Structure of[NiL₂(H₂O)₂](ClO₄)₂ L=MBPT=4-p-methylphenyl-3, 5-bis-(pyridin-2-yl)-1, 2, 4-triazole

The Nickel (Ⅱ) complex, [Ni(MBPT)₂(H₂O)₂](ClO₄)₂ (MBPT=4-p-methylphenyl-3, 5-bis-(pyridin-2-yl)-1, 2, 4-triazole), was synthesized and its crystal structure determined by X-ray diffraction methods. The complex adopts a distorted octahedral environment made up of two bidentate chelating MBPT ligands in the equatorial plane and two water molecules filling the axial positions.
