A new method based on transesterification reactions for synthesizing 2-alkoxycar-bonylethyltin trichlorides(1) and their dimethylsulfoxide complexes (2) was reported.1 and 2 were characterized by elemental analysis, IR and ¹HNMR spectra.The possible mechanism for their trans esterifications was suggested.
