Synthesis of (4R)-α-Terpineol

(4R)-α-Terpineol,a natural product,was synthesized enantioselectively by an asymmetrical catalised Diels-Alder reaction from-1-phenylsulfonyl-3-buten-2-one with 2-methyl-1,3-butadiene.
