Polymerization of Methyl Methacrylate,Propylene Oxide and Caprolactone by Catalysts Ln(acac)₃/BuMgCl

The polymerization of methyl methacrylate(MMA), propylene oxide(PO) and ε-caprolactone(ε-Cl) catalyzed by Ln(acac)₃/BuMgCl(Ln=Y, Nd, Sm) has been studied. The results show that the polymerization conversion of MMA in petroleum ether was higher than that in aromatic hydrocarbons and polar solvents, and the polymerization conversion of ε-Cl in petroleum ether and toluene reached 100%. The molecular weight distribution param-eters of PMMA, PPO and P(ε-Cl) were 1.37,1.39 and 2.10 respectively.
