Nine phenolic polycondensates with crown ethers were prepared by the condensation of 2,6-dihydroxymehtyl-4-methyl phenol (or 2,6-dihydroxymethyl-4-sulfo phenol) withd1benzo-18-crown-6(2B18C6),dibenzo-24-crown-8(2B24C8),benzo-15-crown-5(B15C5),benzo-18-crown-6(B18C6) respectively,and characterized by IR,¹H NMR and DSC.The polymeric crown ethers can be used as complexing resins to enrich cations and as stationary phase in gas chromatography for separation of mixed organic compounds.
