X-Caprolactone/d,l-lactide copolymers with different compositions have been synthesized with a novel rare earth coordination catalyst composed of yttrium trifluoroacetate Y(CF₃COO)₃ and triisobutylaluminum Al(i-Bu)₃, and characterized by GPC and ¹H NMR. The results show that the chemical compositions of X-caprolactone/d,l lactide copolymers can be adjusted by changing the monomer weight ratio in feed, and morphology of the copolymer is influenced greatly by the composition.
