Polystyrene(PS)has been blended with chlorinated polyethylene(CPE)or its graft copolymer(CPE-g-St).The dependence of mechanical properties of the blends on the CPE content,chlorine content in CPE and grafting ratio has been investigated.The resultsshowed that with the CPE(38%Cl)content of 25%, the impact strength of PS/CPE-g-St blend reached 18.5kJ·m^-2,(2.1) times to that of PS/CPE blend and higher than that of the commercial HIPS.The tensile strength of PS/CPE-g-St blend was more than 34MPa.Dy-namic mechanical analysis and SEM results showed a better compatibility between CPE and PSt in PS/CPE-g-St blend.
