STUDY ON LB FILMS FROM MIXTURE OF SUBSTITUTED INDOLE AND ARACHIDIC ACID

The LB films prepared from the mixture of 3-tricyanovinyl-N-hexadeeylindole and arachidie acid have been studied. In the plateau regions on the π-A curves of the films there occurs a phase transition. The UV spectra of the films show that indole molecules form H-aggregates in the ordered films. The morphorlogy and structure of the films were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray dfffractormetr.
