The electrochemical corrosion of rare earth metal La and Nd in their molten halides has been investigated by means of weak polarization measurements. The current density of dissolution of La and Nd was 17.4 mA/cm² and 29.9 mA/cm² at 800℃, and 26mA/cm² and 46.9 mA/cm² at 860℃, respectively.
