Effects of Sintering Temperature on the Structure and Electrochemical Property of LiCoO₂

LiCoO₂ for cathode of lithium ion battery has been prepared by evaporating a mixture solution of Li₂CO₃ and Co(CH₃COO)₂·4H₂O in molar ratio of 1:2 and sintering at different temperatures. The XRD, SEM and electrochemical measurements showed that the product obtained from sintering at 800℃ for 6 hours has regular spheroid distribution, small size and the best electrochemical property.
