Aluminosiloxane-PMMA Composite Prepared by Soap-free Emulsion Polymerization

The aluminosiloxane sol was prepared by the reaction of mixture of 2-methylacrylic acid with soldium silicate and aluminium nitrate.A soap-free emulsion polymerization of the methyl methacrylate-K₂S₂O₂-H₂O system was carried out using aluminoxane sol to prepare aluminosilox-ane-PMMA.The products were characterized by IR, TGA, DSC, DTA and SEM.The resultis revealed that the surface of aluminosiloxane was chemically bound to the polymer.
