Synthesis of A Novel Non-ester Pyrethroid

1-Methyl-1-phenyl-1-[3-(3-phenoxyl)-phenyl]cyclopentene ethane (9) as a non-ester pyrethroid was synthesized via a series of reactions from available materials e.g. cyclopentanone with advantages of good yield and easy operation. The structure of the compound was confirmed by elemental analysis? IR and ¹H NMR.
