Extraction of Lactic Acid by Primary Amine N1923

The extraction of lactic acid(HA) with primary amine N1923(RNH₂) has been studied by means of a slope method and IR spectrophotometry at (298±1) K. The composition of the extracted complex was found to be RNH₂HA. The equilibrium constant of extraction was determined as lg K_ex=1.63. The results showed that lower temperature was favorable for the extraction.
