Microwave Synthesis and Photocatalysis of Nano-TiO₂ Mix-crystals

With TiCl₄ and urea as the raw materials,the mix-crystals of rutile and anatase TiO₂ were prepared at 100℃ by means of microwave irradiation method.The effect of pH on the ratio of the nanometer TiO₂ mix- crystal was discussed.The crystal structure was determined by XRD.TEM indicated that the TiO₂ was spherical particles,and the average diameter of the particles was 15 nm.The photocatalytic experiment showed that the mix-crystal material had better photocatalytic activity than the singleness TiO₂.The compound could completely degrade the blue dye in 50 min under the sunlight.
