An electromagnetic shielding material was made by electroplating amorphous nickel-phosphorous alloy on a fabric, and the preparation process was studied. Stable bright amorphous nickel-phosphorous alloy coating was obtained by electroplating on copper-coated terylene. The effects of electrolyte composition, temperature, time, and pH on the K/S value and resistance of the deposit were studied by orthogonal test, and the process parameters for optimum K/S value and Resistance were determined, which were as follows:NiSO₄ 250 g/L, NiCl₂ 55 g/L, NaHPO₂ 70 g/L, H₃BO₃ 45 g/L, 10 min, 65℃, pH=2.0. The experiments showed that this soft electromagnetic shielding fabric had a fine corrosion and abrasion resistance property.
