The epoxidation of allyl alcohol and maleic acid by hydrogcn peroxide can be catalyzed by transition metal substituted polyoxometalates.The transition metal substituted polyoxometalates-hydrogenperoxide system provides an alternative method to prepare cpoxyacids and cpoxy alcohols.
