Curriculum Ideological and Political Design for the Comprehensive Preparation Experiment of Ethyl Benzoate Synthesized from Benzyl Alcohol

The two classic experiments of benzoic acid synthesis and ethyl benzoate preparation are modified into a comprehensive experiment. Using improving the synthesis process to achieve green and efficient conversion as a case study, students are guided to comprehensively analyze the synthesis process through literature review, point out the problems and shortcomings of the original synthesis method, propose improvement suggestions. Students are also guided to integrate laws and regulations, experimental norms, subject ethics, green concepts, environmental protection, and sustainable development concepts into the entire process of experimental design and implementation, so that students can receive basic lab skill training and achieve comprehensive improvement.
