Traditional makeup products seem to have nothing to do with chemicals, but in fact they do. From the perspective of ancient cosmetics, in this article three kinds of representative cosmetics, rouge, eyebrow powder and bath bean are chosen to reveal the knowledge of chemistry and production process. The close relationship between chemistry and traditional daily necessities is shown through ancient traditional life and ancient material world.
