Inorganic semiconductor nanocrystal quantum dots have been widely used in the fields of biomedical detection, display devices, photocatalysis due to their unique optical properties. This paper has designed a research-type intermediate inorganic experiment on the synthesis and optical property regulation of CdSe quantum dots. Following the student-centric and teacher-led teaching mode, the students are encouraged to make reasonable improvements to reduce the requirement on strict experimental conditions used in the scientific research. The topic of the experiment can broaden students’ horizon, train their innovation and critical thinking abilities, cultivating high-level future scientists.
