The College of Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Qingdao Agricultural University built a four-in-one laboratory safety system on “education, management, examination, and practice”. For the education aspect, we proposed a “multi-branched institution, multi-channel, diversified, multi-level, whole-process” system to promote laboratory safety education. The management defined the responsible person, positions, responsibilities, and regulations to promote laboratory safety control and emphasize on the management of key parts of the laboratory. We follow the fore aspects of “all members, full time, total factor, full coverage” to promote the normalization and institutionalization of laboratory safety inspections. In practice, the teachers and students were guided to pay attention to simulation drills and constantly improve their safety prevention abilities. Thus, we established a four-in-one laboratory safety system on “education, management, examination, practice”, which effectively ensures safe laboratory practices and can provide a useful reference for the safe management of chemical laboratories in universities.
