Exploration of Specialty Construction of Biomass Science and Engineering under the Background of New Agricultural Science: Taking China Agricultural University as an Example

On the basis of the characteristics of China Agricultural University and the requirements of the Ministry of Education for the construction of new specialty, this paper introduces the background, necessity, goal and orientation in the construction of the new specialty of biomass science and engineering. The employment prospects of graduates from the new specialty is analyzed. A series of measures, including changing educational concept, strengthening the teaching team, optimizing teaching measures, and improving teaching mode, during the construction of the new specialty are introduced. This paper also summarizes the practical experience of establishing a new interdisciplinary major under the concept of new agricultural science.
