Research and Practice on Construction of First-Class Major in Local Engineering Colleges

Since the implementation of the national first-class specialty “double ten thousand plan”, Departmen of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering of Jilin Institute of Chemical Technology has found a professional talent-training model in line with its own development orientation through effective exploring and practicing, which could significantly improve the professional construction effect. In this paper, based on idea of “Student-Centered, Outcome-Based Education, Continuous Quality Improvement” of engineering education professional certification of the ministry of education, methods and main achievements for strengthening the construction of first-class specialty, such as moral values establishment, design of talent training scheme, construction of quality guarantee system, organization and implementation of talent training mode, have been discussed, which would serve as a good reference for first-class major in local engineering colleges.
