Taking the talent training system of the first-class applied chemistry major featuring with ‘petrochemical industry’ of Liaoning Petrochemical University as an example, the practices in reforming the theoretical teaching system, experimental teaching system, practical teaching system and school-enterprise collaborative education are summarized. It is a reference for the construction of first-class major and talent training system in other similar universities.
