Herein, thallium is personified into Mr. Thallium in order to vividly demonstrate its discovery history, distribution, physicochemical properties, physiological functions, toxic mechanism, clinical diagnosis and treatment, in the form of his conversation with Professor Chen. This manuscript provides a scientific, intellectual and interesting way to help readers understand thallium and its associated compounds so as to avoid the feeling of fear at the mention of "thallium".
